Adorable and special clothes for children at Little Dimples
When she was just seven years old, Rosie Liggins had a jacket she loved. Then a fire broke out in her home and the adults had to use it to put out the flame. To reward her for selflessly giving up her coat and to find a suitable replacement, her mom took young Rosie to a children’s boutique in Claremont. She remembers how beautiful the shop was and that the clothes, the staff, even the way the store was set up all catered to their short customers. When she shared the memory with me recently, I could see how powerful the experience was for her. In fact, it gave her a dream to one day open a store that similarly catered to the children who would be coming in with their parents.
And Little Dimples is definitely that place! Racks of beautiful dresses and smart suits hang at eye level for a child. The back has a play area with little couches, dolls and plastic tool sets all to entertain the kids while the grown ups take care of transactions. During special times of year, like Easter or kindergarten and sixth grade promotion, Rosie gives away treats to her young customers, making the store an even more special place. What kid wouldn’t mind clothes shopping with all that!
Rosie’s dream was a long time in the making and she carefully saved to open her doors nearly ten years ago. She learned great customer service skills working for the phone company and when she launched her business, she brought the same care and attention to her new customers. And those customers aren’t just from the high desert! People actually come UP the hill to go to her specialty shop as well as purchasing online from as far away as Japan, Puerto Rico and Ireland! Referrals have been a mainstay of her business because the prices are so reasonable, the quality is so high and the customer service is personal.

When I asked Rosie how she came to live in Victorville, she shared that initially it was for her husband’s job but it was also a great and affordable place to raise a family. She earned a business degree from Victor Valley College, where her three children all attended. One is still attending there, while the other two went on to graduate this year from CSU San Bernardino.
Little Dimples is a one-stop-shop for all your children’s clothing needs! You will find everything from socks and shoes to bridal baskets. Styles include baptismal gowns, cruisewear, pageant dresses and other special occasion styles. If you don’t see exactly what you need, Rosie can order it and have it shipped directly to you. With prices that are often half of what you would pay at department or other specialty stores, Little Dimples is a High Desert treasure!
