What are my take-aways from this article?
- Accept that this doesn’t work like other advertising. Use Twitter for the things Twitter is good for: mobile and time-sensitive communication. Don’t expect it to work like a newspaper ad.
- Stay current. You can pre-program a lot of Twitter content to save time, but you still need to scan what’s going on with your followers and those you follow and be aware of local events.
- Get creative. You can offer deals on Twitter that you can’t anywhere else. They float through the stream quickly, so capitalize on stuff that is happening RIGHT NOW.
